SUPPORT PROFILE
Nick Cunningham
Location: Remote
Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning
Chartered Financial Planner
Nick is a qualified Pension Transfer Specialist and has been in the industry since the Occupational Pensions Review in the mid-1990s, which probably gives away his vintage!
Whilst he works behind the scenes, he loves being part of the client journey and helping advisers deliver great outcomes. “There’s something really rewarding about knowing I’ve played a part in ensuring clients are treated fairly, receive value for the fees they pay, and have the ongoing support they need to achieve their financial and life goals”.
After all these years in the profession, he still enjoys making a positive difference, even if he’s not always the one sitting across the table from the client.
Nick is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society
Outside of work…
Nick lives with his new wife Amanda. He has two grown-up children and together they also have two stepchildren, along with their beautiful whippet-greyhound cross, Juno.
Nick loves cooking and baking, so spends a lot of his spare time in the kitchen. When he’s not there, you’ll usually find him out walking in the Devon countryside with his wife and their dog or kayaking on the river Exe.
He also enjoy tackling home improvement projects, with their latest adventure; a house inherited in France. They have big plans to make it their own, so holidays for the foreseeable future are likely to involve plenty of DIY, along with trips to French markets in search of furniture and antiques!
Nick is a big fan of a good curry, and Friday night is officially curry night in the Cunningham household! The only problem is that he always gets carried away and cooks far too many dishes. What starts as a Friday night feast usually means homemade curry for the rest of the weekend!
